Exclamation electric brake controller location

I wrecked my half ton Chevy the 19th of last month. Came off a bridge crossing I-79 on a dirt road, barely got off the concrete and some ruts kicked the rear end sideways on me. Slid about an eight mile down the hill and into a tree. Me and GM have a history like that.

I would probably have walked away except for my brake controller being mounted right above the gas pedal. It shattered my right knee cap. I'll be driving the old Dodge for a while once I can bend the knee, and the first thing that will be happening is the controller in it will be getting moved. The left leg only had some scrapes and bruises.

If you have a habit of not wearing a seatbelt, or are a heavier guy, you may want to consider moving your controllers.

mount it on the right hand side of the steering wheel on the dash and get a good one this time get a maxbrake or smartbrake these are the only good ones on the market they are true proportional and are safer and more efficient than the others

For all the towing I do I can't really justify the cost of the really good ones. But it is just as accesible on the dash as above the gas pedal, just doesn't look as neat. And I am sure my knee will appreciate the move.
