egts and aurora 5000
hey everyone, i've got a problem i just installed my aurora 5000 (i really love it!) but anyway i can peg my egt gauge almost as fast as i did with my stock turbo. I figured my egt problems would be gone with the new turbo but no dice i have a #5 plate full forward ,AFC housing full forward,4000gsk laser cut dv's and stock injectors, stock exhaust manifold and a k&n cone filter i figured i wouldn't be all that hot with stock sticks would bigger injectors cool it down im stumped any help would greatly be appeicated

It's too big. You aren't spooling it well enough. Bu the time it is going, you EGT's are way up there. You'd be better off with a 64mm turbo with a 12cm housing.

The problem sometimes can be too much fuel down low.
I've done the whole A5K on a 12 valve. I got sick and tired of it and went to a 64mm turbo. It made jsut as much power and much more driveable.
Get rid of the Laser cuts, go to some Dynomite stage 3 or 4 injectors, and toss in a set of 181 DVs. I can guarantee you will be happier.
12 valves and big turbos don't like each other (unless you are going to lite it with NOS). The A5K is really more the common rail. They are able to spin big turbos easily.

Thats why ATS dose not recomend over a A3K for daily drivers. The 5 spooles way to slow they have a chart on there site. It takes over 7 seconds to get going.
