EGT's all over, think I need a new probe.

My EGT's are all over the place. Climbing a hill they should be about 800 all the way up the hill. I am seeing anywhere from 130 to 800. The other day I left from a cold start and my edge j/a alarm went off for 1500. I only had gone 200 feet. Do I need a new probe? and where is a good place to get one?
Thanks
Eric

I get most my parts from Genosgarage or Diesel Manor

First check all of your wiring connections. Is the needle sparatic or just slowly sweeping? I've had both, the sparratic movement was caused by a thermocouple wire cutting through the insulation and contacting the steel body. The sweeping was caused by something loose in the back of the gauge. I found that when I push on the gauge a certain way I can make the gauge go from its "false reading" to a realistic reading. I think an internal terminal or solder is a little loose on mine...

I am reading this with the edge juice, the readings will go from 130 to 900 when it acts up. I had a loose connection at the probe and tightening it made it better but it still is not right.

My bad, I was under the impression you had an analog gauge. Sounds like it very well could be the thermocouple then.
