egt question
with my setup (see signature) from wot 0-70mph on flat ground on a 60 degree day i'm only seeing 600 degrees post turbo temperature. at cruise i'm around 400 degrees at 55mph. does this sound right? i pulled egt probe and took a butane turbo torch to the probe and the gauge rose to 1200 degrees. just wondered if i should be seeing more temperature than that? thanks in advance.

Since you're running your probe post turbo, you need to figure your boost numbers in also. I think I read that you can add about 100 degrees for every 10 psi of boost. To me your readings sound low, but my knowledge is limited.

That’s about right if you are post turbo. Add 300* (that is what you loose through the turbo) to get the pre turbo temps. I would move the sensor to pre turbo.
With the EDMs I get about 250* at idle, 600* at 65 mph, and 1200* spike at WOT and then 900* when the boost catches up (and that doesn't take long).
