gauge lighting
This is strange!
I hooked up my gauge and the light worked including the dimmer.
Now my light doesn't even come on nor does my test light at the back of the headlight switch, but the factory dimmer on the dash works.
Anyone else have this problem?

Ok
Ok i went and looked at the wire i used and since your truck is an 06 like mine i tapped into the orange/black wire. The test light should get brighter and dimmer when adjusting lighting.

I thinkit was the orange/brown wire, but anyway it worked yesterday but not now. Also the dash lights quit, so something happened. All the fuses appear to be good.I hope it's not 1 of those things where you have to go to the dealer and reflash or something crazy like that

Nah it sounds like maybe the switch is no good. I would definitely check for voltage at switch. Do headlights work. What works and what dont?

Voltage
OK so if theres voltage going in and not coming out. I would say theres a switch problem. I would check all wires you hooked to gauges, maybe something shorted and caused that part of the headlight switch not to work. Just hope you didnt fry dash lights, cause i would imagine a new cluster would be pretty expensive. Im going to look at dodge service cd i bought and look at wiring diagram.

Yeah
Yeah you were right its a orange/brown. Its dark here and i was using a flashlight looking under dash. I wouldnt rule out the switch. If you got a friend with the same truck as yours unhook your gauge wire from your switch and try his headlight switch. That might fix it. Cause if theres no voltage on that wire that means no voltage going to your dash lights. Just my .01

I don't believe there's voltage going to the switch according to my test light.I wonder what might of caused a short after I had it working?
