EDM's
Just installed some of Don's 80 horse EDM's and all I can say is WOW! I used to run bully dog II's and these are completely different. I used to have way too much smoke and no low end to spool the turbo so driving in town was awful. Now, I can drive without babying it, it moves when I want it to, and my engine runs much smoother. There is no smoke unless I want it to and throttle response is excellent. The mid-range was also much improved as it feels much quicker and I don't get choked out when I go into OD in 4th. It feels a little stronger at WOT but I lost at least 150* on the pyro. I'm not trying to down the other injectors....it did not seem that others were having the problems that I was having with them, but these new ones are like a whole different breed. Don definately has his stuff together on these. Also, I want to thank Merrick at Laredo Performance Diesel for putting up with me and doing whatever it takes to get my truck like I want it.

What did Merrick do to go the extra mile? Glad to hear he is getting some business.

Adam,
I have a similar symptom from my DDIII's they smoke at least twice as much as any other DDIII I have ever seen. When I mentioned it to Merrick he brought up your truck as having the same problem. Some say my DDIII's smoke as much as Mentals.
Glad you two were able to get it resolved.
James

Re:EDM's
James, I think that if you were to try a set of Don's injectors you'd be very happy with the results. I drove the truck all day today and the more I drive, the more I like it. With all of the people in your area that are involved in cummins performance, I bet you could find someone that is nice enough to let you try a set of theirs. Andrew, After talking to tons of different people trying to find what I wanted at the right price, I came across LPD's site. I did'nt know at the time that Merrick was kind of just starting out but I told him what I was after and he put it together for me. I got a very good deal and an unmeasureable amount of help and service. I mean I've bugged the heck out of him about problems with my truck that had nothing to do with him or the products he sold me and he has never failed to help me right then or make a quick phone call and get back to me. As you probably know, he works two jobs and is very busy but if he tells you he's gonna do something you can bet he will take care of it.

Adam,
Im glad the injectors are working for you. That particular nozzle was designed for the high altitude guys and heavy towing applications. They really work well for high humidity areas too. They are an ultra clean little injector.
Thanks,
Don~

Adam,
I think I remember Merrick asking me about yoru truck because he was "throwing" situtions at me. Your the one who had the turbo lag from a PDR40 with a Suncoast tranny?
That's the great thing about Merrick, he is willing to find the answer if he doesn't know it. I know I he devotes any time he can to helping customers, and would be customers out.
Great kid, hope he can make it.
