Question Edge?????????????

About to jump off and buy some kind of box for my truck. So would you say the edge juice with attitude is a good choice to go with. i want one that i can change the setting on the fly and not have to program it every time. i looked at the smarty but you can't change it with out reprogramming. is the edge a good reliable box. my truck is a stock 04 dodge with straight pipe and a k&n air filter.

TST is a pretty rowdy box as well. Is your truck a sixer or an autoloader?? Either way your not going to get the full power out of the truck without either a clutch or converter. Personally, I'd invest in trans mods first before any performance mods. If you go the opposite if it is an autoloader you can cook all the clutches and bands in their and cause more damage than if you'd just put a good converter and valvebody in it. Just my .02

Tst is probably capable of a little more power and is a little more friendly for stacking multiple boxes down the road, but the controller is not nearly as nice looking and cannot show as many displays at once.

I like my Juice a lot. Get the Hot upgrade if you get it. If you're not buying directly from Edge, when it gets to you, don't even put it on the truck (cuz you won't want to take it back off) just send it directly to Edge and pay the $100 for the Hot upgrade and the $50 for the turbo timer feature.

The other thing I forgot to mention in my first post is that I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the Juice. Not that there are a lot of problems with the TST, but they are out there. If you do a search for Juice and a search for TST you will find some complaints about the TST - don't know specifics right off - and probably nothing on the Juice.

Well Omaharam, you are correct in all of your statements. I guess I'll just leave well-enough alone. The TST DOES cause alot of cel's for ?whatever? reason. It does make good power tho. However, I would definately put the money in a good trans before any upgrades., they tend to be habit forming and only cause you to keep pouring the power to it until the trans (at some point) just can't keep up any longer. Better have the go fast goods before I go fast. Again, just my .02 . But, I do agree with you on the TST.

TST is HUGE power. The Edge Juice is a great starter box. Lots of safety features and can grow with your truck. I know in time I will eventually go to a TST box once I have the truck to properly support it(built tranny, turbo(s), modded CP3(s) and a BA fuel system). But until then, which is at least a year to year and half off at best, the Juice works just great with me.

I bought the edge with attitude for my 01 and love it. I just needed a little more for pulling my rv...and it is perfect. The control box is handy and great too. I have had no problem with mine and I have had it a year.

I love my edge, it works great and is easy to use, great features such as turbo timer and not to mention all the gauges, awsome power gains, not as much as my smarty but it is sweet

I have owned 4 diesel and all of them have had the edge on them. I have only had one problem with the box on my d-max. I sent it to edge (box was out of warrenty) and they sent me brand new one at no cost. Thumbs up for edge

I love my Juice, great choice. Nice features/gauges and safety features and easy to stack with anything that adds pressure only. Definitly get the Hot upgrade too. It's my opinion that the Juice is more than just a starter box.

I have a TST PMCR R49 and the juice w/att hot, and I must say I like the edge better. Even stacked with my Smarty I like it, maybe because I can get lost to easily with the features on the TST? But I'd go with the EDGE

It's trial and error when towing. Hook up that puppy and play with the box (whether you have injectors or not). It's difficult to say that truck A will work like truck B. The added power will make your towing ascents fun -- it's always nice to be able to accelerate up a hill with a trailer tagging behind.
Best of all -- the safety settings on the Edge (do them first) will keep you out of trouble. Enjoy!
