I have it and love it. Love the on-the-fly adjustability, built in gauges, and the way it brings the CTD to life. Plus, it seems to be one of the more reliable boxes out there. There may be some that perform better (don't know, only tried the Edge), but if you like the above features, it is a great box.

I love mine. Keep in mind, if you want to use levels 4 and 5, you will need a TC and VB. Then you can upgrade to the HOT juice. It makes a big difference.

I am new to this and have 2 more questions. How hard is it to install? I am handy and can use tools. Also don't want to sound stupid but TC & VB?

TC = Torque Converter
VB = Valve Body

Those are the weak links in our auto trannies. Be prepared to update those if you want to put all 100hp/250tq increase through the tranny. TC/VB upgrades run approx $2500 around here, so it's not cheap.

The install is pretty easy. I'd say a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 - 10. The only really "difficult" part is drilling into your exhaust manifold and tapping it for the EGT probe. Take it slow, and it's pretty easy.

Go for it...

I ran it with stock tc/trans air intake and exhaust for pretty good while and it was the best moderate performance box I tried. Enough protection and features for most at that level. I think it is a good choice for someone looking for around the 100hp level max. Use common sense and the stock tc/transmission will handle it.

I read and heard that as long as you keep it on level 1 or 2, not beat the **** out of it , the transmission will last as long as it would with a STOCK truck.

Some may even claim that Level 3 is OK with a stock driveline.

Today I went for a ride in a 99 auto with Edge/juice. That thing was so dang fast and smooth!. My brother has a 2002 6-speed with a Banks, and this 99 was way faster.

juice

i just took my juice out of my 06 because there is a glitch in the box thay when the truck hits that temp that it gets full power the juice cuts out 3 cylinders, smokes very bad and wont move very fast, then you let off the gas and wait a sec or so and it kicks back in, called a tech at edge and was told they recognize this problem and dont have a fix for it yet he said the 06 was being a pain in their but with quirky problems, anyway he is sending me another module and told me that it may do the same thing so anyway for now ill put my bdtd with outlook in for a while till they get the problem rectified.

Get the Banks PDA. You can get 125hp 290 tourqe and not have to spend 2500 to get it. But if you have your heart set on an Edge watch Ebay for them. I got out bid at the last second for one. It went for $455. So keep an eye on the no reserve ones on Ebay. But in Hynsight I am happy I didn't get it. Buy the PDA. I know a guy that sells them for $775

i have a juice/attitude and i hate it. I dont want all the safety features it comes with. i want straight up power without it protecting my crap.

mine is up for sale. i dont want it anymore. it works great for a beginner box, but i dont want safety features. i want all out power without having to wait for my engine to be a certain temperature.

hm... BD powerpup/outlook monitor is about 700 bucks, 230hp/460tq.
Juice/attitude is about 600 dollars, HOT juice upgrade is free, 180hp, 390(?)tq.

TST is about 900 bucks, 250hp i think is their new benchmark.

3 is fine for full time use.

4 and 5 is when you need to watch it.

I roll on 3 all the time, seeing about 1mpg better too.

Anything will break if you stay in the skinny pedal too much, all about moderation. You can tear up the truck beating the crud out of it bone stock.

http://www.bankspower.com/Test_Results_AD07-325.cfm

Are you sure it will give you 125hp?

The above test results from Banks own website says.....NO.

Best gain for a 600 series is 111hp and peak gains (what everyone else on the market advertises) is a measly 86hp gain.

Now add to that they also claim "Note: Banks Horsepower and Torque tests performed with recommended airflow improvements."

So for $800 you won't even get the 86hp. To get the FULL 86hp gain you also need an exhaust and intake at the minimum but, you may have to add an intercooler and intake manifold as well?
