Edge EZ setting

I have an '03 5.9 with and an edge ez. I have fooled around with the different settings to see if there was a difference in performance and fuel consumption. I have not seen any difference in fuel economy with any of the different levels. Usually 14.5 -16.5; dependent on hwy/city. I have gone a month at a time on one level and so far not a huge difference between level 1 and going to level 4.
One thing I can tell is a difference in performance. There is definately a seat of the pants difference. The manual shows levels 1-4. I have seen posts that have said that there is a level 5 and 6. It even showed pin configurations. Can anyone confirm this?
If so, what is your opinions on performance and reliability of these so-called higher settings??
Any other opinions/experiences with the edge ez box??

Mine has 3 settings and mine burns a whole lot more fuel on 2 & 3 than 1. It has a lot more power and get up but its hard on the pocket.

The older EZ for the '03-04 does have a secret level 5. I wouldn't run it in that setting since it could pop the pressure relief valve and or damage the injectors.

Some say up to level 3 is safe, and level 4 can damage the injectors over time. I never ran mine past level 3.

If you have an early EZ, before Edge clipped the pins....

1 XX: :::
2 X:: ::X
3 X:: :X:
4 ::: :XX
5 ::: X:: SECRET 5 X:: X::
6 ::: XX:

5 & 6 have cracked injectors, and will not help mileage.

One of the pin configurations don't match what is in the Edge manual. Levels 1,2, and 4 match, but level 3 is this;
:X: :X:

Anyone have any other input.
Thanks for all the responses guys.

Level 3 position is correct. Ignore the jumper settings on the left side of the box, it's only for holding the spare unused jumpers.

I had one of the "Special" EZs with the extra settings and did, indeed, damage an injector by running it in that position. It was fun though!!!!

Yeah! We've been around WAYYYY too long. Remember when the EZ was about the only thing out there for these trucks? LOL

I bought this truck 3 years ago and the PO said that this was the only option back in '03 for a 'programmer'. I wonder if this is one of those boxes that have a "secret" level? How could I tell??

Follow the instructions in the previous link you posted. If yours does not have the option you will not see the big gains. If it does you will see plenty of smoke. Remember though, that much pressure IS BAD!!!!!

I'm sure the EZ is a very small part of that huge power gain.....
