EDGE EZ Problem Has anyone's done this?????
Well, Truck ran fine last night. This morning went to start it and it wouldnt. It would just stumble for 3 or 4 seconds then die. Reset it to level 0 and did same thing.
I guess i am going to find out how good there customer service is!!!

reb0957, are you saying that the truck ran fine after you took the EZ off of it? I never had the problem you describe but I did have a "Poor idle" condition and when I called Edge they were very helpful and sent me a new box out right away. They will ask you to give a security deposit which you will get back as soon as they get your old unit back..... How long was the box on the truck?

Dodgezilla,
I have had it on the truck since March. And yes as soon as I pulled the EZ off the truck ran fine.
That afternoon I set the EZ on O and reinstalled it. Same problem again. Truck ran real rough for 3 or 4 seconds and would die. Take off EZ and truck runs fine.
I guess i am going to find out about their customer service shortly. Mine is actually a Diessel Dynamics TTPM wich is a rebadged EZ. It even has an Edge tag on it. I e-mailed both last last night. Waiting to see who replies.

Check the pins on all of your plugs very carefully. I had a rough idle problem one time that I tracked down to one of the MAP sensor pins wasn't seated right on the EZ. I guess it had popped out and wasn't contacting the wire correctly. I used a paperclip to shove it back in and to check all the others and the problem was fixed. Just a thought before you go through the trouble of shipping the box back....

Well, Edge called back first and I am on the way to ship it back to them. No questions asked just send that one back and we will send you an updated version. WOW!!! I didnt have the six levels anyway.
YEs, as soon as i removed the EZ the truck runs fine. The truck wouldnt run but 3 or 4 seconds just sputtering and dying. Remove the EZ and all is good put a hundred miles on it yesterday with foot all the way in it. ( had to put foot all the way in it) Anyways, it is amazing what a little box and 4 wires will do. i miss it badly already.
