I opened my edge EZ, that I bought new and found there was no jumper in there, The instructions say that it sould be defaulted to the far right. Mine does not have a jumper installed!! I wanted to put it on the lower setting to lower the black smoke, since I added the 80hp injectors. anyone else have this happen to them. I'm hoping I can buy a new jumper from edge?

It should have come with it. Mine was a little hard to see at first. Contact Edge and they will send you a jumper for it out free of charge. I have had nothing but good luck from Edge, customer service is top notch. I bought a used EZ awhile back from member Crobtex and it didn't come with a boost elbow, they sent me one for free.

So without the jumper installed what setting is it?? I ran this truck with just the EZ and I thought it made a huge difference compared to stock, and it would belch a little black from a stand still, with the sticks it really blows the black esp when around 40mph and just touching the throttle

i bought my truck with the 275 injectors and edge ez on hight the truck runs great. the jumper is hard to see may want to take a nother look.

not exactly sure what sticks are my truck will belch out a little black on acceleration and down shifting. I would like more I have a TST controller that came with the truck is that a stick??

Nick, look at it again, I don't see why the chip would be working if the jumper was gone.

Heck if you got an old hard drive laying around, or know someone that does, you can rob a jumper out of em.

IF there's no jumper, the EZ defaults to setting #1, if I remember right-- which is probably where you'd want it.

I think I may have some spare jumpers laying around-- PM me and I'll drop one to you in the mail if I do.

You can get them at radio shack, comp usa, best buy, etc-- they usually come in packs of 10 or so for less than a buck

Thanks for all the offers for a jumper, I went to Radio Shack (the Source) they had nothing, I called edge, after 10mins the tech put me on hold while he checked with someone else, he claimed that without the jumper the EZ defaults to the 2nd setting...weird, His answer did not instil confidence. so hopefully tomorrow I track down a computer shop that has jumpers. The smoke I get is when hard on the throttle or when the engine is under load for a few seconds until the boost comes up. funny as sometimes under the same conditions I have little smoke other times its belching like a train.
