Edge COMP + MAP Sensor???
Hey, i put an edge comp on my truck a few months back, and it doesnt smoke at ALL like everyone claims they do. I just get a little puff and thats about it. However, when i unplug my MAP sensor i get a good amount of smoke anytime i lay into the throttle.
My question is though, how much damage can or will occur, if any, from having the MAP sensor unplugged for a prolonged amount of time

You might see a drop in mpg but thats it. i ran mine like that for a good 6-8 months with an oil analysis right in the end months and there was no changes in any test levels and soot was the exact same.

Well actually mines plugged back in since i installed the DDII's. the smoke was too hard to control with the new injectors.
But if you have stock injectors unplug it and have fun.
Oh ya i gotta Smarty now too
