i know tis sounds stupid but i gotta get it in writing. what are everyone thoughts on an edge comp in a completly stock truck that has had a history of tranny problems and a stock fuel pump. on both the low levels and set on kill.

Not unless you plan on some upgrading in the near future. Tranny may last awhile with low levels, but the fuel pump is a real problem. Every VP44 truck should have a fuel gauge.

i didnt think many people would bother replying so thanks for your response. my step father bought a used edge comp and doesnt have any other upgrades and doesnt believe me its bad for a stock truck because the edge website doesnt say it will turn your stock tranny/fuel pump/vp44/tiny HY-35 into a time bomb.....

At least get some sort of fuel help. You might as well put a Holley blue on it or something while the old man is sleeping. If you don't, you'll be the one putting on the new VP.

Other option is to put the comp on and leave the pump untapped. Not as much fun, but will save the pump and trans for a little longer.

im not putting anything on it for him... doesnt believe a word im saying. i just feel bad for my mom now cuz shes gonna be the one paying for the crap he breaks...

Put an Airdog and at the least a Valve body and torque converter.
I slipped my stock TC with just an EZ.
He's just asking for trouble.
