ECM cycling Grids
Ok, so I know the grids are cycled when its X degrees out and when the engine is at X temp, but when it gets below 5*Celcius even with my engine temp at 195*F on EVERY hot restart the Grids cycle for at least 30seconds or more
I have replaced the IAT sensor and there was no change, its an awful load for alternator for no good reason, I'm thinking I'll be pulling the small signal wires on the relays
anyone got any ideas??

I think the third parameter in the mix is the vehicle's speed. Its been a long time since I read about it in the shop manual, but I think the speed has to be over 25mph before the grids are no longer "needed" for emissions purposes.
