early 94 track bar help

i have a 94 and it was made 9-93 so it take the 5/8 shaft track bar #1256 it cost way more than the 1413 can i convert mine to the 1413 or am i stuck with it or could i cut the mounting bracket off an 03 and go to the new style one more thing the hole the 5/8 shaft go into might be walerd out the guy i bought the truck from didn't take very good care of it any help will be appreciated

I believe you're best bet is a track bar conversion bracket like SSI's to go to the 3rd gen style. Since the hole is tapered you can't drill it out, and finding, cutting off and welding on the newer style bracket is, well, excessive and possibly dangerous if not done correctly.

On my '98, I drilled out the tapered hole to 3/4" in the frame mount bracket boss and bolted on the 3G trackbar conversion bracket that I made.

Also, I removed the ball stud from the trackbar and machined the housing to accept a 3G bushing and TIG'd it back on with a sleeve in the correct orientation.
