Dyno results

Dynoed the ol girl this past weekend courtesy of TNT and got the following results: 346.92 hp/ 874.76 torque

I'd like to hit 400/1000, but not sure what else I can do without going new turbo which would (a) break my wallet, and (b) push me up a class in the pulls. I'm thinking adding the 4k gov kit spring, but not sure how adding an extra 1000 rpms will increase my hp, since peak is around 2000rpms.

Also, thinking about finding a used water meth kit which would give me a little break on egts as well. Not sure if that would push me up in class though. Haha.

Little worried about my boost levels w/ this stocker turbo. Doesn't take much to crest 40 lbs. I never did put the little boost elbow on that comes with the plate kit, but I think that RAISES boost, right?

get a 35/40 hybrid it will get you to the 400/900+ mark and still looks like a stock HX35

You could add the 4GSK and then bump the timing even higher, that might let you make it...

Good advice. I'd add that if you want max cooling and still be able to pull in the stock turbo class, look at a bigger turbine housing, a cam, a bigger Charge Air Cooler (CAC), and lots of water.

pull the exhaust housing off the charger and remove part of the divider to allow the wastegate to vent all 6 cylinders instead of just 3 and open up the wastegate hole as much as you can. If you can get the boost down to 32-34lbs you will pick up some power there. use the search function and you will find some good info with pictures.

If you are trying to stay within a stock charger class then I doubt you will be allowed to run anything other than #2, which means no water. At least thats how it is around here.

Hey, I think there's more to be had with your pump itself just tuning it, that and upgrade to the 4k kit. Have you done anything to your AFC at all?

Thanks Brett

Hey guys, thanks for the advice- I'll read through that info on the turbo. As far as the water, I think it depends on the pull here, because I know there's a white Duramax that runs water/meth in the stock classes around here. Not sure if the officials know that though. Haha.

Brett- All I've done to the pump is ground the plate to #100 curve, full forward, and slid the AFC housing full forward. Any suggestions as to what else to tune to get some more ponies? I know I've read a lot of folks get a little better power with the plate slid just SHORT of full forward. Thanks.

By the way, thanks to BigNasty's Garage for help getting the injectors and tranny temp gauge in Fri nite before the event.

-Josh
