Noticeable smoother ride. Both original hubs made noise when turning them by hand after removal and both u joints were nothing but rusted needle bearings. Not a hint of grease left after 86,000 miles. Just have to get a holesaw for my caps.

What did that run you and how long did it take to do the work? Have you noticed any real MPG improvement?

When I did mine the Dyna Track hubs were having a problem and Dyna trac advised me to go with the Warn hubs and so I did but I think they stick out a little farther than the Dyna trac hubs. I agree with the previous poster that said you would love 2wd low expecialy when backing up a trailer around corners.

I wonder if you could use 'em on a 2WD and just bang in some freeze plugs on the backside. There's just something about the stock hubs that bugs me...I have always preferred spindles and conventional, regreasable bearings.

They look good- they don't stick out any more than any other truck with factory hubs (I talking about full size). I would be happy with them.

Edit that. I just looked up a price on them. $2,071.99 for the kit. I would be happy with them if they were a lot less money.

Here's some pics and it seems the hubs will stick out about 2" outside of the caps once I drill them out. Also I installed my backwoods bumper today. Will start another thread on that one.

Also I want to add that I can't stress how much smoother she drives and especially turns. Low/no speed turning is 100% easier. I guess that's what happens when the u joints actually have grease in them... haha
There has to be some fuel savings here because of the 100+lbs less rotating mass, etc. Wish I'd have done this 20,000 miles ago. And I don't think I'd have made it thru this upcoming winter with the original hubs/joints... probably would've been stranded somewhere.

has anyone looked at putting a ford manual front end in? besides the spring buckets, control arm mounts, and gears needing to be changed out the hubs don't stick out far at all. I imagine that the track width is close if not the same.
