Question duramax cp3 on a dodge

i called ii the other day and they said that the stage3 pump was just a modded cp3 from a duramax. i can get a new stock cp3 for a duramax from where i work for like $500 will it pump more fuel than a dodge pump or does it need to be modded to fit the truck. i can buy a stock pump from work for 650. i gues the main question is will the stock duramax cp3 pump more fuel than a stock cummins cp3 and will it fit without modifing

Not sure i can answer that but if u can get a D-max cp3 for that price why not just get it and buy a twin cp3 kit without the pump and run duals? U could check with Imills at http://www.midatlanticdiesel.com!

Sure would bud! Most of the dual cp3 kits use a Dmax pump for the second pump, u would just need to buy a kit that has all the fittings and brackets needed! Check out that link and look at the Evil Twin CP3 kit!! Lloyd is a great guy to talk to also.

i would like to know about this as well but you might have to ask this question over on competition diesel where you have D-max guys as well as cummins and PS guys.

True, the d-max pump is not a direct replacement but it can easily be modded to fit on a common rail in place of your stock dodge cp3. a stock duramax pump is a Cummins stage 2 CP3. and can support up to 500HP on a cummins easily.
