Dumpping the lagmaster....

so when i get home I am dumpping the lag master and the HC1 for that matter. I am getting a HX35 that is a 55/12w/61.5, not the turbo that i wanted but it is better then the lag master and it is a start. I am hoping that it will wake the truck up. i have a couple ??.... will my down pipe fit or do i need an adapter? I now that i will need to move the exhaust pipe back an inch. But is there anything else that i need to make it work so i can get it and have it waiting for me when I get home in 4 months?

Thanks this the best site
Jim

The older HX35's and WH1C's had a v-band between the 5-bolt flange and the elbow, which is the same size as the H1C's on the 1st gen's. The newer HX35's and HY's had an integral flange/elbow. Not sure what year the split was though. Either way, you'll want the flange with the v-band, not the one piece elbow.

I love the new signature Jim! Unfortunate, but funny nonetheless.

i have the same rig as you. 4x4 5 speed...the 12cm housing makes a huge difference over the lagmaster! you are gonna love it and the whistle! im happy with the hx35 for a while because my trucks mostly stock, eventually ill get a s300 or something. the hx35 is easy to rebuild also if you need to do it

I thought it was a model; it is waaaay to clean to have come from a truck. Which HX35 btw? 8-blade or 7-blade? Got a 7 on mine and am very pleased. No IC yet...just a 3" cross pipe( it was a 'spensive pipe or cheap TIG welder, jury is still out ).
cheers,
Douglas

I got one more quick one for you guys and a couple more pics of the turbo. Will my chared air piping still fit or am i ging to need a diffrent elbow?

Douglas2 yes it is a very clean turbo and it is a 7blade. But it is a complete rebuild. And for 600 bucks i really cant complain.

hey-Hey!!!,
The elbow clamp and joint to the turbo is the same on all ov them( until it was cost-saved out and the angled housing was introduced ). The Gen 2 has a 3" tube and the Gen 1 has a 2.5" tube connection though.

I have the 16 cm housing on mine, and the 12cm sitting on the floor in the shed... No IC yet either; and no means to run the OE wastegate linkage since I've clocked the compressor housing for the cross tube.
cheers,
Douglas
