Hi guys, like many of you I have been into first gens since Nov of 92 when my dad bought his and brother ordered his 3 months later. Ever since like all of you I have noticed all that I have seen. As they get older and rarer I was thinking to myself.
WHATS THE RAREST COLOR/ COLOR COMBO I HAVE SEEN? So that is my question to all of you. Whats the rarest color or colors that you guys have ever seen. To me I have to say I have seen alot. But I have only seen 1 two toned Light Blue/gold/Light Blue (93) "not dark spectrum blue" and 1 Black/silver/Black (92). Both were club cabs. Please note that I am only referring to factory paints. I have to also say that being a huge WVU fan the b/g/b truck looked awesome! It was on a used car lot in Harrisburg PA. It had a motor/hydraulic pump for a snow plow and was an auto. I cant recal if it was an LE but I do remember it being a little rusty. I know, way off topic. Just wondering what you guys thought? Thanks, Robert

a guy just down the road from me use to have a 92 or 93 xcab that was dark forest green metallic.? loved that color, tried buyin it from him before i found mine. oh ya it also had only 50,000 original miles. to bad,,, its the only one iv seen that color.

Metallic brown on top and bottom with gold in the middle, like our 91 was.


Silver and black is one you never see.

Oh and archer39 has one i've never seen....Black on top and bottom with Gold center.

^ agreed Crossy. I have never seen that either. The dark green is very common around here. I had one and dad has one.

Just seeing a first gen is pretty rare for me. I've seen a few cool ones from out of state passing through with campers.

All I know is my trucks paint scheme is one of the more common ones. I have the white/grey/white with red stripe. There's an EC first gen like it here, theres a 2nd gen duallie that has it, a guy that lives in Riverton (he's on another board) has the same paint scheme... see where I'm going with this? [laugh]

Its funny, first gens are not that rare here. I see them on a daily basis. Sometimes its people just passing through but more often than not its locals. The two tone white and silver is one of the more common here. But I still believe the copper/sand/copper is the most common. Atleast here anyways.

here on Kodiak island theres a Gold/dark brown/gold reg cab runnin around. I can say thats one iv never seen down in the states.

I have seen exactly two light gold ones, my 1990 and about 2 months after buying it the second on the road waving at me( though his had the later chrome grill).

I seen a 1990 reg cab 4x4 that a customer bought that had a dark green chameleon paint from the factory it changed colors sometimes it would look purple & then black & then green with a metallic The guy use to complain about it but it was gorges I remember the truck because its the only one i had to work on mechanically it was about 2 weeks old & had the #6 rocker making noise Had to adjust it & it was good to go

Around my way the most common is the burgundy/gold two tone job. A close second is the hunter green single tone. Mine's two tone white and grey and I've seen a few others around. They usually all wave at me.

I have a factory black truck and I have never seen another all black truck, but then again it is Arizona
