Hey guys. I got an interesting request via PM the other day and thought I would share this idea. There is a member in Colorado who would like to start a DTR chapter. Basically, a local group that is a DTR membergroup with their own charter, rules etc. I'm sure most of you know that the TDR has these, but I have never done it, or even thought about it.

What do you guys think, should we start doing this? You think there would be enough intrest to do something like this? Let me know what you think.

Jack

Sounds interesting,,,,, ::)
I think we have enough folks in our area (VA, NC, WV, etc.) that might consider it.
Anyone ever done anything like this? Manage sub-chapters I mean. I would like to consider it, but I guess that we would have to write a main set of rules and guidelines that the sub-chapters would follow, etc. It sounds fun, but I don't think it's as simple as saying "There are subchapters". Opinions?

I would definately like to do this, but I'll be honest. I have NO time. I would need someone to run this and lay out the law of the land so to speak. I am really sorry guys, but we CAN do it if someone wants to manage it. The only way I would do it is if this person was very dedicated to making it happen, and making it happen right.

Jack
I will be glad to take that role inless some other member wants to, but if no one spreak up then I will ;D ;D

Hi guys. It really won't have anything to do with web design at all. Basically, this person would have to keep track of all the chapters, make sure they follow the rules, keep track of members, etc etc. I don't see anything like web design going on there. Does that still spark your intrest? It's more like a clerical role, I think.

Jack

DavidTD brought up an excellent suggestion for this. I think it would be a great idea to schedule a chat session for those who are interested in doing this, or participating in some way. This is going to be one of the larger projects our site is tackled, so we I seriously think the chat session is a an EXCELLENT idea. Thanks for the suggestion David!
Thanks for the idea David
I think Cattle hauler would be a great person to speerhead this idea if he still wants to, and I would be more than willing to assist him in any way I can. I'll be the helpy-helper.. ;)

I would be willing to do whatever it takes to get this done. I think this site has grown to a size that this would really benefit us. Let me know when the chat session is and if there is anything we should do/research to be prepared. I am SOOOO looking forward to this!!! ;D

I think a project of this nature would probably take more than one person. I'm thinking of having the chat session tomorrow night at 8pm Eastern. Let me know what you guys think.

Jack
Jack, I am gonna post a message in Other Forum about this, A chat time of 8pm Eastern Time sounds good. That will work out perfect, will have lots of folks in chat already at that time. Should we have all the folks log into the Dodge-Diesel room or the Lobby???
