DRW----> SRW pics

I just finished a quick drw to srw conversion ,I search some for pics and there were only a few so I figured I would add to the mass of info with my pics of what to expect and how easy it is.

this what I started with--->

I bought a set of "take-off"o7 wheels and tires locally,removed the front spacers and bolted the tires on,I am still using the dually rearend.
-when/if you decide to pull the fenders off and do the body work

the rear tires do stick out some but its enough to be noticable,I like it and do not plan on swapping it out for the narrower srw axle.

looks good. a simple set of bushwhacker flares would cover the rear wheels and help protect he paint w/o making it look too terrible, but i bet it looks cool running down the road in the rain like it is.

Looks ok.You did a nice job.Oh theres always a but? Made truck look longer and plainer,cheaper,not as impressive.A step rearwards instead of enhancing.More average.Hard trying to find correct words.Maybe blackwall tires and fender flairs would help.Before it looked like a little Tonka Toy.Now its just a long truck.

Did the same to mine last month but I am going to flatbed it instead of replacement bed. Here it is with the 285/70 19.5 TOYO M143 and Visions.... How long did it take you to pull the fenders off? All told everything was about 2 hours + stop at the tire shop for the wheels n tires.

Personally a cheaper more unique option instead of swapping the rear axle out is get some small fender flares and add half to one inch spacers on the front to make them match. Sure be a ton cheaper and give you a custom look instead of spending a buttload of money to make it look.... stock?

I do not think anybody said anything about spending any money for the swap after selling the dually bed and wheels and tires its a wash.after all isn't the dually and srw ttrucks ,stock?unless you lift it to the sky and 4-link it or do something else radical to it.My truck is used as a truck not a show piece.

I have a question!!!! Why would you convert your already sought after dually into something others want to get away from? I do agree a bit that you took a step backwards! Just my opinion but, hey whatever floats your boat!

My point is if you don't want a dually anymore then you can sell it for a decent price and buy a SRW without all the hassle of converting! Doesn't that make more sence? or am I missing something? LOL Again just my opinion!
