Drove a new 08 superduty

Well I went and drove a new f350 6speed. I like the inside, and the looks of the truck and thats about it. The engine is ok but its not a cummins. If the f350 had our cumins in it I would buy it. Plus the new powerstroke is to quite.

I looked at one in So.Cal. Was not impressed. The only thing I liked was the tailgate step. I think the rest of it was too boxy. The salesman was doing his level best trying to get me to buy it. I told him he'd have quite a fight on his hands getting the megacab away from my wife.

The Ford body is great, but the engine is crap! I'll keep my CTD!

I have only seen one 2008 Ford Superduty on the highways near the Baltimore area... not too suprising though... I got rid of my PSD months ago, and still going thru the legal crap with a lawsuit against Ford. (lemon).

I will say that Ford is a nice looking truck. I've never owned one but that F-450 is about the baddest looking thing around.

They sure sell a lot of them so they must be doing something right.

Unfortunately, blue blood runs real deep and the die hards wear blinders.

Ummmm....horsepower might be a little low the the tq is waaaaaay low. Ain't now ay it's losing over 300 lb-ft through the drivetrain. There is a video circulating showing that it dyno'd 270 and 630, but I have to call bs on the 630. I don't see it losing 75+ horse through the drivetrain but only 20lb-ft? It's probably closer to 550 or so give or take on the tq.
Ford builds a very high quality truck. I had a great 99, but I just prefer the I6 Cummins under the hood of my truck. If I had a choice between Cummins in a Dodge or a Ford, I would choose the Ford. I do like the 3rd gen Dodge truck, but I just like the Ford truck better.

Hell I think the newer Fords are Ugly and GMC/Chevys too. If you wanted a box to drive on the road you could buy a Honda Element or what ever its called much cheaper and its just as Ugly.

Running the risk of starting forest fires and burning down the garage has got to be a sale feature for the 6.4.. Anyone see the trumpet exhaust on the DM's? I don't get it, the exhaust is the same on the CTD as previous and makes 2010 emissions.. What are the others doing wrong??

Ford, Chevy, doesn't matter, they will all be working for Toyota a few years from now. We'll sit back and tell the grandkids about the good ole days when our Cummins was the king.

One thing about the Ford, they got to have better seats than ours 'cause Dodge seats SUCK!
