There is the dash... thats all I remembered to take

Now its not a bad truck, but whats weird is that it doesn't have that "pull" to it like the Cummins does... you know - the power that plants you in the seat, the kind that you feel.

Its pretty slow, but I never drive automatic diesels and found that the auto tranny keeps on going rather than losing boost between shifts...

Needless to say, I'd never, ever own a Powerstroke, or a Ford.

I put hundreds of thousands of mile on PowerStrokes back in the 90's....

They started falling apart by 70K miles... always something, and not just the (adequate) engine. 'Course they were work trucks, so you can't expect them to be as durable as the Dodge/Cummins combo!

hmm looks like the ABS light is on. One of our 7.3 PSD powered fords loves to light its dash up. Gotta admit the 7.3 is a good engine. (As I throw the keys to the PSD down and grab the ones with the Ram on the front!)

11.88 @ 114.19 @ 7820 lbs

I'd say it worked.

I got a ride in it a couple years ago and even with a bed full of tools it makes mine feel like a dog. I have nothing but respect for a good running PowerStroke.

My friend's dad (grew up in the same neighborhood) has a 99 or 98 whichever year they redesigned them... He bought it new and it has something like 380K or 480K miles on it when I last talked him in Dec. I never asked him his maintenance regimine or what he's replaced.

I too respect the 7.3. My bro in law's was nasty with the ts performance chip until it ate the tranny because of stupidity. However it did seem to always have something wrong with it. It's almost as bad as mine but it doesn't have 16 years of hard work (goosenecking a bulldozer) under it's belt and 300K on the clock, so what is it's excuse?
