I have a 06 3500 auto and today went and drove a the new 6 speed in the 6.7. After being in a auto since augest I had forgotten how good a manual was. I seem like the new 6.7 had a better power band than the 5.9. It reved out very well.

Thinking about it. One bad thing I just got my bed put on and I am going to lose alot. I may have them run some numbers up for me. I bought mine last year when the employee pricing was going on. My auto aint going to cut it like it sits. That 6speed felt so good plus it was 410. One good thing I will save on fuel miliage by going back to a manual. I was taching less with that 410 than my 373 in my auto.

Why dont you take the bed of then trade it in?

I am going to look at that option but I think it would be to much trouble where the lift and bed were welded. I tried so hard this time to get something I was happy with. If it werent for that dern 48re I would even consider this.

Absolutely. You're going to be down way more than the cost of a transmission if you switch now.
