Drove a 2008 Powerstroke.
I went out to the field today and the took one of the Air Force's brand new 2008 F-350's. It was a 2wd crewcab long bed and had about 900 miles on the ticker. I also a had a 16ft flatbed trailer with a New Holland tractor on it. Probably a total of 7-8k. Overall impression is it seems like a decent truck. I still would never own one. It rides pretty nice for a 1 ton. It's got plenty of power. Spool is really quick for the twin turbos. It's super quiet, almost sounds like a gasser. Interior is nice, lots of space. It was an XL model and it still came with power locks, windows and mirrors. It also had a CD player. The front end of the truck is ugly as sin. The headlights need to be flipped so the turn signal is on the bottom. Under the hood is CRAMPED! It didn't shoot any flames on me though. Decent, but it's still a Ford. They can still keep it.

However with those huge turn signal lenses above the small headlights, it looks like it has sad, heavy eyebrows to me.

I just don't understand what is up with the vent thingy on the upper part of the fender?? The new cadillac escalades came out with something like that last year, vent, shark fins whatever you care to call it. Kinda looks goofy to me. Oh well, what's good for me ain't good for someone else.

If I''m not mistaken, they placed the headlamps on the bottom so they could be close to the legal range on 4wd models with thier taller suspension. Plus with the way people put lift kits on these days, they may have decided this would keep the headlights closer to the legal limits of height.

I doubt it. What people don't realize is Buicks have had those on their cars since the 50's. Those who like to put huge, unusable wheels on their Cadlliacs, have made it a trend. So far so, that Autozone sells a cheap version of these things that you can put on your car. I've seen Escorts with them.
