drop to idle

hi all , my brother has a 1999 24 valve that going down the highway the engine stalls and drops to idle , after a few minutes idling it runs fine for a little while then does it again , could this be the lift pump?

Sounds to me like a TPS... or whatever fancy (APPS??) thing the newfangled trucks use.

Lift pump doesn't usually effect fuel to that effect.

could either be the injection pump or the APPS... really need to have the codes scanned to find out.

I have the same truck 99, 24 valve. Very similar thing happened to my truck. Mine would suddenly go to idle while driving in town. Never did it on the highway though. took in to the dealership and they said it was a bad electical connection. It happened so long ago ( shortly after the truck was new) that I can't remember which connection it was.
