Driving lights--front bumper ground no good?!
I have had a pair of Hella 500s mounted on my front bumper for 2 years now. Work great. Recently they did not come on immediately when I switched to high beam. That delay happened several times, then they quit coming on at all. After trouble shooting and checking all angles, I figured out that the front bumper ground was no longer grounding. I finally tagged on additional ground wire and ran it back to the firewall. Now the lights work normally again. Anyone have any idea why the bumper ground would stop working? Doesn't make a bit of sense to me!

It's pretty common for front & rear bumper mounted lights to not work due to a poor ground... it's best to wire them to a ground circuit in the harness during installation.
