drastic RPM increase once hot

Here are the symptoms:
Im having a drastic change in idle RPMS once my truck gets up to temperature. Until the truck gets to normal running temperature it will start and idle fine, and drive as normal.
After a few minutes of driving, it will begin to climb rpms at idle, while in gear. Idle(no throttle input) will pull the truck along, almost to 1500. In Nuetral or park, they will climb past 2500 and sustain. I checked the throttle linkage and it stays at the normal, fully closed position while this is all happening. You have to really stand on the brakes to get the truck to stop once its hot.

I had a bad stock injector and replaced it with another stock one, thinking it was the problem. I have recently replaced all the injectors with DDP stage IIs and have had the same problem.

Any ideas to a cause of this?

Its a 98 12v , 3kGSK and a 100 plate. Auto.

Only concern i have with the GSK is that i just pulled a 1000+ mile trip without this problem, and i had the pump completely diassembled when i put the GSK in, so im positive that they are adjusted identical.

Then its not the spring kit...I have a similar problem with my linkage jamming up.Not the linkage, but something in the pump itself(governor arm maybe binding).Few times had cruise control without the cruise on....Hope its nothing in the pump itself....Any ideas from the other guys on the site??

revs after warmed up

Just a thought, have you checked to see if you are getting oil from your turbo? Pull the output off the turbo (compressor side), and see if you have any oil going to the intercooler. It really sounds like it is getting fuel from somewhere, could be oil from the turbo. I had a 1.6 VW that tryed to run away because of oil from blow by, it was very worn out and would try to stay running even after shutting off the key.

when this happens have u observed the motor? what happens to the linkage?...what is ur idle set to?

i think its the gsks...they need to be taken out and inspected and u need to double check that no parts were left behind during the installation...its a simple motor...its not elctronically fuel injected...it can only be a couple of things

i checked out the linkage while the RPMS were climbing. It stayed put, as normal. 'normal' being ~850 or so. It sounds like i should yank the GSKs out and reinstall them to eliminate that possibility.
