I just ordered a 4/2/1 filter kit from Geno's Garage, and I was wondering if anyone out there has used the EZ Change Drain Tube, Finger Touch Engine Oil Drain Valve, or the Finger Touch Engine Oil Drain Valve w/Nipple? Do you like it,(which one?), and what is the difference in the latter two? Thanks.

I bought one with the nipple. I've found that it drains through the hose so darn slow that I just let it drain directly into the pan.<br><br>Next time I'd get the one w/o the nipple.

I have the EZ-Drain on mine, and have used the Fumoto Finger-Touch on a previous vehicle so I have experience with both. The Finger-Touch is nice, but takes al bit longer to drain. The other problem is the oil streamers that occur when it's near draining. A little breeze, and there's oil all over the driveway. I prefer the EZ-Drain because the optional tube (actually required for it to function) allows you to place it down inside the bucket to prevent oil from being blown all over. It doesn't drain as quickly as with a normal plug, but it's fairly fast. What I do though is let it drain overnight, and the following morning the turbo oil feed line has drained back and there is nary a drop spilled when the filter is unscrewed. Me, Mr. Sloppy can do a complete oil change in under 15 minutes with not a drop on the driveway! I store the tube in a freezer bag in the glovebox between changes. It also makes oil sampling a piece o'cake too.

Commatoze, have you had any problem with the EZ Drain leaking or not sealing properly after you unscrew the hose/tube? Will be changing my oil here soon, so will probably go ahead and order 1 or the other. Thanks

I'm not familiar with the brands youre talking about, but I have a fumoto drain valve with nipple/hose attached on both of my vehicles and they are great. Never leaked a bit, and drain reasonably quickly. Not bad for $25.

Never had any problems with it. There's a brass cap that screws over the valve mechanism so it literally double sealed and is protected from road grime. Here's an article that compares the two valves.
