Drag link nuts

Lately my steering on my 93 350 4x4 has felt loose. I have read about the rag joint and wrote it off to that, but after inspection I found the nut for the drag link at the steering box arm loose and if it werent for the cotter pin it would have fallen out of the hole completly. worth a look if you have a first gen 4x4.

If the nut was that loose I would think something has to be worn out. When I replaced the drag link on mine I had to use a pickle fork to separate the parts. Did you replace the drag link or did you just tighten down the nut?

I havent had the this truck that long, im still going over it with like a dog sniffing for dope, I hate breakdowns. I agree, usually you need a pickle fork. The link dosent look new but its hard to tell. Maybe the previous owner replaced it and just didnt tighten it right. I really had no good info on it ,the owner had passed away several month before I got it.
