Dr. Performance/predator?
Hey guys, a buddy at work wanted to sell me a module that I described in the title & after hooking it up the truck would not even start. I took it off right away. The truck started slow, but did start with it off. I got these codes..
P0652 sensor reference voltage 2 circuit low
p2127 pedal validation switch 2 low
p2266 water in fuel sensor circuit low
p0237 turbo boost pressure sensor low
Along with these the MIL light is on and has stayed on. What does any of this mean? Should I take it to the dealer? I have never had aproblem b4 & I have no experience with modules or codes or any of this. Truck has 108,000 & I have had it since 90,000. I dont have access to a computer so I will check any replies in a day or two. TIA, any help or advice is apprieciated.

I would reset the codes with the OBD2 scanner. If that doesnt work I would pull the negative battery terminal clamps off for about 15-30mins, then hook'em back up and see if that works..

I used to run a Dr. Performance module and my truck would do the same thing when i would remove the module and plug it back in. I figured out that this happened when the pressure sensor was plugged in upside down. I just cleared the codes with an OBD and it did the trick.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I found someone with a scanner & deleted the codes. The mil did go off on its own though. The guy told me that if the box caused the codes then I have nothing to worry about & if there is really a problem with my truck they would come back. I just didnt know better. I just moved & cant afford to have my truck go down right now. That scared me enough not to mess with those boxes again. I'ma skerd.

1 of 2 things happened. You either plugged the box in wrong or you are using the wrong application for your truck.
It is very easy to plug the box in backwards. If you do, the truck will start, but run very rough. The CEL will also be illuminated. If you remove the box the codes will clear after 3-6 restarts. Make sure you put the clips to ramps not clips to bumps. There ramps and bumps on both the receiving plugs on the engine and on the ends of the module.
This is the case with several products out there. You have to pay attention to get the harnesses plugged in proper or you will have issues. I doubt the box is bad.

P.S. I know this from experience, I did it once.
