Question Door Speakers 2001 Quad Cab

I am doing a little on line shopping to upgrade the system in my 2001 Quad Cab.

I just realized I have no idea what size speakers are in the doors (Front and Rear.) I have bad luck with door panels, so I would rather only take it apart once.

Can anyone tell me what size they are, and make any suggestions on which ones to look at? I am changing out the deck, and want to upgrade the speakers too.

6x9 will fit in the front as that is what is in mine. The only thing you really need to watch for is depth. If you go to crutchefield.com they have a pretty decent tool that you put in your truck info and it will show you what will fit.

The rear doors 5.25 will fit for sure but I cant remember for sure now if 6.5's will fit or not. I know on my 96 the rears were 5.25 but am thinking the qc doors the 6.5 fit..

6.5s fit in the rear just fine, and 6x9's in the fronts. I used clarions when I did the changeup, and everything went together like two rabbits.

Make sure you get new plastic trees for holding the door panels on. the stock ones are really good.... once
