Dont Borrow a SMARTY!!!
I have had a Smarty for about 6 months and im really pleased with the performance when it is installed the is a slight Injector rattle but nothing to worry about. Now the other day i uninstalled it so i could tow a 35FT Gooseneck trailer with my John Deere 6420 (4x4 ) with a 10FT wide JD brush hog... Needless to say it was a heavy load only went 60 Miles round trip loaded both ways. I unhooked the trailer and was heading home stepped into the pedal and i was like what a dog! It thought i was just used to the Smarty being loaded so i wasnt to worried about it WRONG! My fuel mileage went down 4 MPG from what it was before the Smarty and my good friend who drives my truck alot said whats wrong with your truck it used to "Haul the mail when it was stock"..... So i knew something was up i have changed oil, fuel filters, checked fuel pressure all is fine... Now i am certin the smarty loaded a generic program which is honestly a junk program from my original one.Now i loaded the smarty back up and all is well.. Now my warning is dont load a smarty unless you buy one you could loose a very good program that you cant get back!

While your on this and looking...
How about that cruise and top speed limiter "issue" that Smarty COULD resolve? Any news???
Sorry about the hijack of an already lame post.
ULSD stinks...it kills my mileage too. Overpriced, underperforming diesel...looks to be a scam.

I just ment the 85-87mph max cruise speed and the 108ish mph max speed limiter.
I have no problem fueling to 3500 or so! I would love to be able to hit 3500 rpm's in 4th for Dynojet style dynos. I gained over 75 hp in 3rd from 2900 rmps to 3500...so I would expect similar in top gear...
Which...for the record would place my truck in the 600+ club with stock injectors/stock CP3 and NO drugs.
But heck...the injectors and CP3's are coming soon anyways!
