Don M. Concerning my Injectors.....

Don M. I really need to speak too you about my injectors. Sir, I have contacted John at "Floor It", as you requested for me to do. He's completely paid and has been, but I still don't have my injectors. Unfortunately, they have been with you for over eight weeks. I'm tired of the run around. I have tried my best to be patient with the whole situation. Please contact me my phone # is

I received payment Friday. A day and half ago. I have had the nozzles ready for weeks. I was waiting on the OK to do the repairs and payment for all the work.

I have them back in the que now. Looks like Tuesday they will ship unless something bad happens between now and then.

Personally I am not mad at you for asking these questions. I understand your frustration. Changes are on the horizon about how these jobs are handled, billed and tracked.

Glad to see this worked out. Nice to see vendors who take the time to read the forums.

I have Don's injectors in my truck, because I feel they are the best, however if another company comes out with the same quality, and they will!! I would go that route!! It SUCKS not being able to talk to the company that makes the product!!

How many companies that actually make the products themselves can you call and talk with?

Let's see.

It has come to the point where, when I am looking into a product, if I cannot talk to someone from the product's parent company, in either tech support, marketing, or shipping / product tracking. I find another similar product.

I understand the concept known as "busy" Probably far better than most people, however, when you are "too busy" to have someone deal with your customers, eventually you aren't busy anymore.

That said. In this case Don builds a great product, and it might be beneficial to him to have someone simply to do tracking and answer phones. I know that those of us who work alone would rather not have anyone else involved, yet there are times it is required. Yeah, that sucks, but life goes on.

Good luck people.

So out of those that offer injectors how many can you call and actually talk to the manufacturer? I can only think of 1 offhand.....

Ah, the problems stated. I don't buy injectors, other than stock. And unless it is a dire situation, I avoid buying them altogether.

When I do buy them, I deal directly with the outfit that rebuilds stock injectors, and no, they are not in the States. I can talk to their tech guys, service guys, or sales guys, at any point during normal business hours.

This same shop has assured me that they can and do build performance injectors, should I require them.

These criteria being met, this shop is where I source my injectors and pumps. And not just for cummins, but all other brands as well.

For the record, as part of what I do, I fabricate custom parts for everything from mounting off road lighting, to mounting systems for product pumps, small suspension pieces, exhaust parts for highway trucks and off-highway equipment. My customers can talk to me anytime, literally. If I am too busy to drop and answer the phone when they call, their message is answered no later than 10am the following day.

Guess I'm kind of a lousy business model though.

I have Don's stixs. And I have been reading up on how slow the turn around time has been lately. But I hope when I send mine 1 day air, they get back to my that same week. Well at least I am hoping that.

And yes, it does suck not being able to talk to the guy doing the work on your stixs. I know Shane @ Wicked Diesel is a lil different as from what I have called.

I understand your point completely. I will say that the three companies I've dealt with concering injectors, I've talked to the man himself... that includes Don.

I personally have never talked to Don. I use Rip at Source Automotive, and most of the time Rip knows the answer to my questions. If he doesn't he contacts Don, and I don't think it has ever been more then a day before I get a response. Like most people I think that my situation is different then everyone elses. Fact is, most of the time, someone else has already had the same question.

I like Don's products. They have powered my trucks to winning 5 NHRA Wallys, along with multiple other championships. Yes it takes more then just an injector to win, but there isn't any substitue for quality products. I have been involved with testing other manufactures injectors, and there is a reason that I only run Don's injectors.

I have a good customer/vendor relationship with Rip, and I really like the fact that no matter what area on my pickup I have a question, I get to deal with Rip. He has more pull with suppliers then I would ever have on an individual basis, just from the sure volume of business.

Just my .02 worth.
Paul
