Is it just a simple press fit into the flywheel??

I doesn't sit in the crankshaft flange any, does it?


I'm trying to get a new Torque King pilot bearing installed with my new Clutch, but I'm having problems with clutch shops not being able to bore out the flywheel to install an O/S pilot bearing.

I'm having to piecemeal this job, as the guy who's installing the clutch can't resurface the flywheel, and the guy doing the flywheel can't bore it and press in the larger bearing.

I just want to confirm that I'm on the right track, here.

The directions for the one from quad 4x4 (for the 4500) wanted a lip left on the crank side of the flywheel to keep the bearing from migrating fwd.

I just installed and tapped with rubber mallet until flush

The instructions they sent for my 5600 said this lip is optional. I guess the flywl sits closer to the crank on the 6-sp, and bottoms out on the crank before the bearing could fall out (forward)
