Just wanted to put a heads up for guys who own 96 model dodge trucks. My buddy bought one about 6 months ago and the other day he got in the truck to go home from the store and smelled burning plastic, upon further investigation he found flames behind the glovebox and had nothing to put the fire out with. He moved the truck into the middle of the parking lot away from everything and quickly pulled everything out while calling 911. He told them it was smoldering and when he turned around he told them change that, flames are shooting out the window! It was a complete loss. There is a recall for this and the dodge dealer said his truck was not in the recall. When talking with him he was using the heater, on high and was having weird ignition problems.

He called Dodge and they started an investigation, told him not to hold his breath as my dealings with Dodge was as useful as shoooting myself in the foot. So all you guys with trucks in this recall time frame, I'd be leary this winter! Especially since my friends was not considered a problem!
