dodge part?

so ive been lurking here trying to read up on stuff since i am hoping to be in an 05-06 Cummins 2500 by this spring/summer. However i keep being told and reading that cummins is the only thing you would buy it for, and that the dodge part just falls apart..such as dash rattles, other rattles in cab, suspension parts go very quick, and i even read about the paint being very easily scratched and fades easy. Its kinda of made me think i should not take my chance on one, but i also think its the best looking truck between the 3 and i love the cummins engine. Is anyone having such issues? any problems such as this? I figured id ask people who actually own one! Thanks guys!

I've put 400,000 on 3 trucks in the past 8 years, best things I have ever driven. Most people are on here because of problems or their power junkies like myself. GO FOR IT

On an 05 - 06 ... nah you wont have a lot of those problems you listed. The 2nd gens had some really cool quirks .

Every rig has it's good and bad points...I like me Dodge for more than just the motor .

I know this won't help much since I own a slightly older dodge (1997 cummins extended cab long box) but i have 215,000 miles on it and she still is ticking like a good clock, no rattles or anything! Dodge is the only way to go!!

Go in with an open mind , and drive em all first. then pick the one that feels right for what you want to use it for. I had nothing but Fords till 87(old man sold them for years). He changed to Dodge and sold me one (a Gasser SWB reg cab). Been converted ever since.(check my sig.)Driven lots of brand X company rigs , but always glad to get into mine for the ride home. Wouldn't even consider a Ford these days, maybe a Chevy when I'm old and crippled(soft springs, soft seats, Alzheimers...) You choose, you're a young guy, take a gamble !
