I want to Buy a new Dodge But I'm waiting for them to build a 4500 or 5500 Ram c/c Model want a 16' flatbed so I can haul more stuff the engine can handle it and I don't want a ford. I know alot of guys that buy ford because of the heavier weight ratings but would rather have a Dodge.

The F 650 use the Cummins (isb 185 , 205 , 225 H.P Configs) ya know. (hmmm Why is that I wonder) <br><br>

Lot's of 4500's where I live. Have not yet seen a 5500 but will start watching.

I have had a lot of mixed info on this topic from my contacts high up at DC. Automotive news ran an article about 6 months ago that said we will see it within two years, but my zone rep from DC tells me it is not the first priority right now. The Germans say unless we can sell 100,000 units the first year dont even ask them to build it. My old info was that freightliner and Dodge were doing it as a joint project and it would be modeled a lot off of the business class frieghtliners and the both Dodge and FL would sell them. That is what the automotive news report said, but that could change. DC keeps a lot of stuff secret from us until their ready to bring it to market. I will be the first one to order one for myself and anybody else who wants one can get in line right behind me. I should be able to order pretty many when they do come available because of how many 2500/3500's we sell now. That is how they base how many each dealer will get, by how many of the 2500-3500's they sold.

Oh, btw, I have been told by a very high up source that they have several proto-types built and sitting in Detroit right now. Many configurations, and engine and tranny choices I've been told. Doesn't that drive you nuts knowing that these trucks exist right now and are hiddin away somewhere in a warehouse :'( :'( :'(

Still going to keep my '03, but should have my wife's Durango paid off ny then, along with some other stuff like lawnmower and fourwheeler. Keep us posted on anything you hear on this topic.

I need a comp for my Lawnmower also. Heres how dumb some people are. I put a superchip sticker on my lawnmower and I get asked all the time &quot;how muck hp is that chip on your mower I say it adds 50hp at least and they say wow I need one of those <br>DM01

An auto would make it driveable by the wifey.

I've seen pictures of bigger Dodges on another thread, but they have huge tires and look funky. I hope they offer the low-profile 19.5&quot; tires as an option otherwise the flatbed would be to high from the ground for my uses.

Mexstan and everyone else, If you've seen them down there, they'll be here in a few years. On my last trip to Mexico city, (years ago) I saw a super charged T-bird, when I got back I ran to the dealer and asked how I could get one, he just looked at me, grinned, and said go to Mexico and buy one, but good luck getting it across the border. The super charged T-birds have been here for a while, the trucks will come.
