When Will Dodge Build Them?
Ford has the F- 450 and 550, IH is bringing out that Super Duty pickup, so when will Dodge bring out a larger truck than the 3500 ? It would fill that much needed spot between the 3500 and your larger Freightliners, F-50 or 60 trucks. These trucks are used primarely to pull your larger travel trailers, and cost approx $100 thousand dollars. Though I saw in the paper, a 2003 FL-60 for $65,000, with only 22 K miles, probably the same cost as the larger Fords.

Dodge is bringing back the POWER WAGON so Im happy
they'll probly sell more PW's than 3500+ trucks
I think the larger ford models has the cummins motor in them if thats true what would dodge use if they had a 3500+ model ?

I've said it before and I'll say it again in the hopes that someday, some product planner from DC might be watching.
There are a LOT of us baby boomers getting ready to retire, and we need something to drag these big (up to 20K GVWR) RV's with. Right now, if I want a DC product, it's either a Dodge Ram 3500 dually or a Freightliner FL-60 or FL-70 - really nothing in between.
One would think that DC would look at the RV sales figures over the last few years (they're hotter than a firecracker) and figure out that there's a market here that is basically going unaddressed. I really don't want to have to buy an FL-70 or a Peterbilt 330 crew cab, send it to B&W for a custom-built towing bed and hitch, etc. to put together a 5th wheel puller. If Dodge had something that I could walk into a dealership and purchase at a reasonable price, I honestly believe that they could sell the heck out of them.

SUPPOSEDLY, there are plans for the near future for a 4500 and a 5500 series Ram that would be available with their new Maxx Cab.
All I keep hearing is next year...next year...next year. We'll have to see.

You have to go up to the F650 to get the 690 Cummins...
Looking at the capacity of those rigs, I would think the ISB would be barely adequate. Other engine choices are Powerstroke, or a slightly more powerful Cat.
If Dodge builds a 6500 or something in a wider-than-a-pickup medium duty truck, I hope they stick the ISC in it...
The little Freightliner has lots of engine choices, but like someone said $$$, and I don't think you can get 4X4.
The problem with International's truck is it is too high to pull a 5er. Maybe someone will step up and build an extreme fifthwheel toyhauler... Tall with tandem duals, and built and insulated like unloaded weight was not an issue.
