Now that I have the order in, how do I check on the status of my truck ? I see lots of messages where people are commenting on what stage their truck is at in the factory. Are you getting this info from your dealer ? Or is there a web site you can access to find out ???

DC does not have a website to check on the status. You can call their customer service @ 800-992-1997. I have found it is much easier to go to the Dodge website and click on contact us using the e-mail feature. Too many times when I called customer service I would get a CS rep with an attitude. They would mostly tell me to contact my dealer. Every time I e-mailed them I got a quick and polite response. Another very helpful site is www.dodgeram.org/buying_info/Order_status.htm You will find many helpful features.

If you get someone with an attitude, (doubt it), call back and get another rep.<br><br>Once your truck has a VIN# it is easier, otherwise you need your VON# (vehicle order number) from the dealers printout.<br><br>When your truck is shipped from Satillo (hope for Saltillo and not St. Louis) and is on the train, DC will give you a rail car number you can check on the internet on the rail company site. Kinda cool to see where your baby is located each day on her travels home to you!<br><br>Keep in mind the DC phone number is sometimes a week or so behind in actuality.<br><br>Hope this helps<br><br>Hunter<br><br>

Since you mentioned status, I thought I should check on mine since it has been a few days. Long story short, it took five days after leaving the plant in Mexico to reach Norfolk and Southern Buckeye Yard, OH. According to N&amp;S today it left Buckeye Yard 8:00 A.M. 12/23 and will arrive at final destination Toledo,OH. 6:00 P.M. 12/30. :o I find it hard to believe it can make it from Mexico to my home state in a little less than five days and will take seven days to arrive at the final destination which is in the same state as where it is now. Has anyone had any previous experience that would explain why it would take so long to travel such a short distance to reach the final destination? Maybe DC doesn't want me to get the cash back and holiday bonus. LOL. Oh well, I'm sure DC will offer a much larger rebate after the current offers expire Jan. 2. [laugh]

As Hunter mentioned, descrepancies in status are due to the late updating of the system. As with all data - it's only as good as what goes in - and it can get posted late.<br><br>On my truck, the system was 10 days behind. 10 days!!! :o<br><br>Best to y'all<br>Bill :)

Does anyone know how long the trucks sit in the auto yards once they arrive at the final destination by rail? Mine arrived at Toledo 12/27 with delivery completed to the auto yard 12/30 5:50 P.M. on Norfolk &amp; Southern. How do you trace the truck shipping?

DC has status measures for final rail destination and delivered to dealer. There isn't anything in between. You can't track the car carrier trucking. My truck got to Jessup, MD on Sunday, Dec. 29. The dealer will only know he has it when it shows up at his front door. As of Dec. 31, the dealer didn't have it. It's 61 miles between Jessup and the dealer. Traffic in the area is congested, but not that badly! I just get to sit and wait. <br><br>Jean

I am in the same boat. Mine has to travel a little farther though, appx. 125 miles by truck. I did notice on the Dodge website the Holiday $500 bonus and the $1000 incentive are now good thru 1/06/03. It previously was thru 1/02/03 I think.<br>
