The turbo went out of my 2003. I want to use a newer turbo on it. can anyone help me by telling me how to get the waste gate to opperate or how to bypass the electric one and make it work. My truck is down! and I need help!!!!!!!!

disconnect the hose on the new turbo that goes from the wastegate actuator and the wastegate solenoid. Then run a new hose from a boost source such as an elbow tapped into the compressor housing or from over by the intake manifold.

I put a turbo off of a 05 on my 03 and just left the boost solenoid sensor wire hanging and put a plug in the end of the rubber hose going to the wastegate actuator and clamped it down with hose clamp. Did it b/c I was selling the truck and couldnt find a good replacement since I had blown up my stocker and went to htt 62 and wasnt leaving that bad boy on their, brett at II hooked me up with the turbo with the idea of of just putting a pipe plug in the sensor hole but it wouldnt seal up so finally got a sensor from a banned member and fixed it up. Now thats redneck enginuity at its best.
