What do yall think about this boost controler?

Found it on ebay, I guess it would work on my HX-35? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Manua...em300192084800

Good price is it worth it?

It should work, but it looks shady-- not just the product, but the seller.

I'd get mine from www.boostcontroller.com

I have had that one from E-Bay (Lower Shores Performance) for about 2 years or so. It works great. It really is store bought fittings that have been machined here and there for set screws and such. It is worth it to me to give someone else 30 bucks to put it all together in way less days than I would waste on the project.
It has a screw that tightens an inner spring to the level of boost you want. Another screw to set how fast the pressure at the wastgate gets bled off so that you have a closed wastegate ready to build boost as soon as you grab the next gear. It is durable and I have never had to think about it. I used it to protect my old HX-35 at 35 PSI when I was overfueled for it, and now to keep my headgasket intact at 40 PSI. It takes a few highway blasts to set the screws where you want them but then its done.

Someone else on here pointed me toward it in a thread way back when. I can't remember who it was.

Well they have to be drilled to the right orifice, if its off then either boost or something else will be off. My shop has a guy custom build them but he went through over 30 different combo's of size to get it "right". I would just buy one for $20 from tst or most other shops that sell fuel plates.

The manual boost controllers we're talking about are different than just a brass elbow with a single adjustment like the ones that come with Edge boxes and TST plates. If those are the simple ones ones you're talking about. The one he mentioned above on E-bay is the cheapest manual boost controller I have seen. There are others out there but they cost way more than the ~$25-30 plus shipping that this one costs.

But each to his own.
