No kidding right Mike?
I tried finding my old email I sent in to him, but it didn't surface. I do have a contact saved with the name Chris and that email though. It seems like there isn't much "official" activity or anything like that.

Yeah, I reckon that is kind of the case... Unfortunately the diesel drags are at the opposite side of the state, but Mike & I will be at the NEPA meet this Sunday.

If somebody wants to volunteer maybe we can elect a new one?

mikmaze
05-04-2009, 04:01 PM
volunteer? more like nominate somebody ! you guys have a great bunch of folk to choose from, shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement.

Seems like that would be a good idea. Is there anyway there could be one for the east side of the state and one for the west?

That's a good idea. PA is a wide state, and there are several states with more than one local DTR chapter.

I'll send Lary a link to this thread and we'll see what he wants to do. :)

archer39

cool. I think it would help to keep things more organized. If no one else wants to take the east side (if we go that route) of the state i would be willing.

It really should be split in half, way too much ground for one person to try to be organizing.

At least this thread gained some speed.

I am up here in the northeast and everything is southeast. Half of the time it is to far to drive and I good for and 1 1/2 but 3 4 hours is to much to drive, maybe 4 way split if there is enough guys

Guys,
If repeated, multiple attempts to contact the Chapter President have failed and said President exhibits behavior that can clearly be implied as indicative of a dereliction of duty then the members of the Chapter will need to pass a majority vote to:
1) Remove the existing Chapter President
2) Vote in a new Chapter President.
or the current Chapter President explicitly expresses the desire to step down, then the members of the Chapter will need to pass a majority vote to:
1) Vote in a new Chapter President.
The new Chapter President will then need to contact me and let me know of his/her new status and contact information and the status of the Chapter.
He/she will be required to fill out the same Chapter Application paper work (for legal reasons) and then that person will be made the official Chapter President.

In either case, if no consensus can be reached by the majority, or if no nominees are presented, then the Chapter will be closed.
In this case, I request that one person in the former Chapter contact me and notify me of this situation.

Thanks guys.
Its always a difficult time when leading folks go AWOL, but life can throw a lot of curves at us and many times, life gets in the way of our hobbies.
I respectfully request that all attempts be made to contact your Chapter President prior to taking any action.
I too have sent an email.

Rich.

I don't think we even know how many members PADTR has, Christian has the only list. How do we get a majority vote if we don't know how many that is?

Does anybody have his phone number?

I guess i would not even really be able to vote then. I never got a response from the president when i acquired about joining.

guys its not that big a deal, rich said he already tried to email your current pres..... if he gets no response, it will be up to you guys........ nominate someone/ volunteer, and send your votes to rich, i beleive he is the one that helped us out over in NJ and got me to where I am...... paperwork should not scare anyone, but it is not a laughing matter either........ bout the toughest thing to do is get your business cards printed up........ take the file to staples on a flash drive and they can help you out. asl long as a bunch of you send in the same request, it will be granted.

Yeah, we went through this with the NJ chapter not so long ago. I would say that if you emailed to join, you are a member and can vote.

Might as well start planning, is there going to be East & West? Do we think it would be worth having more? We can have meets locally without going through the President, just a matter of somebody stepping up and organizing

I sure hope so. I don't really see there being a need for more than east and west though.

Hey Zach are we going to have to vote on it or are you in like Flyn for the east. Now we need someone to step up and volunteer for the western part of the state. Oh yeah where are we going to make the split or are we going to keep the state whole and devide the county's between 2 people.

We voted on page 2, where you been? [laugh]

I guess once somebody volunteers on the West end we will figure out where the line is. It's not like we are going to jump ugly on the Pittsburgh guys if they step on our turf... [laugh]

the division don't matter to me, its not that important really. Its just hard for one to organize something or have interest in something on the other side of the state. State Collage is about the middle of the state so that might work if we want to go that route.

any volunteers on the left side yet?
