Do We Have A TPS Sensor???

I was wondering is my 07 5.9 has a TPS sensor....or dose the ttva [throttle valve] motor on the trans replace that....trying to diagnose a problem

The common rail engines like yours have an accelerator pedal that consists of a sensor that feeds your input from your right foot to the computer - no direct link to the engine.

The computer tells the injectors how to provide fuel.

When a diesel guy talks about TPS he is referring to the footpedal sensor per above. So yes.

When a gas guy talks about TPS he is referring to the sensor on the throttle body on the engine. In this case no, because diesels do not have throttle bodies.

On these trucks its called an APPS (accelerator pedal positioning sensor).

Going through some pedal issues myself....
