what do think works the best?

Hey all, I have read through the boards and just can't decide. I have a 01 ccsb w/ a 6spd and during the summer I try and pull every other weekend and can't decide if a gooseneck would be right for me. I have a 83 Ramcharger on 36s that I like to play with and have been using a bp. Is it worth it to upgrade to a gn? With the 36's on it it sits high on my buddies gn and I don't really like that fact, but would it put any less stress on the truck? I have pulled with a gn and love how easy it is, but is the money worth it? Thanks all.

The GN is definitely going to feel better pulling. The weight distribution is and always will be better...looks cooler, etc...but you have to weigh your options. They are heavier, harder to hookup without a buddy...heck, harder to hook up even with a buddy...MUCH more expensive in most cases, etc. The heaviest piece of equipment that I will tow on a trailer EVER will be our L39 Kubota which with backhoe and loader is just under 7K. So I decided to save some cash...bought a bumper pull rated at 10400lbs, bought a good weight distributing hitch and called it a day...if that Ram is the heaviest thing you plan on towing, I would just stick with what will save you some bread...thing weighs between 5 and 6k MAX...

That's what I was thinking, I do pull a Bobcat alot and hay, but, I don't use have to use my stuff, well just my truck for that. I think bp will be fine, it doesn't have too much weight to it anyway.
