I replaced the two batteries after one shorted internally and the amp gauge went to zero. Afterwards the radio, overhead console and dome light and glove box lights are all not working. I have found something in the repair manual about an IOD fuse in the junction box in the cab, but the fuse seems to be good. Any thoughts?

 

Seems to be good is not good enough. It must be good. voltage on both sides of tips on top of fuse. It sounds as the IOD circuit was damaged. Must follow up on fuses in both areas.

 

If the radio and the dome lights are not working, then the IOD fuse IS blown.
That is the only fuse that feeds power to those components.

 

Thanks- thats what it was- the IOD fuse. Had to break the black carrier in order to get it out to replace the fuse.

 

And that gauge is a volts gauge, not an amps gauge.
