I am replacing the rear splash shields on my truck (pg. 23-96 in service manual). I ordered the shields no problem. I could not find a part number for the push in fasteners that secure the top portion of the splash shield to the truck nor could I find a part number for the two bolts with a threaded sleeve either. Does anyone have or can find part numbers?

Also, I needed two plastic rivets to resecure the wheelhouse liner to the truck. I've got the plastic rivets but want to know how they work. P/N 34201631.

I can't figure out how to post the images. I will put them in the gallery.

I had most of my plastic rivets break or fall out on my rear wheel wells. I just replaced them with stainless steel bolts, washers and lock nuts. It was about $20 in hardware for a permanent fix.

The plastic rivets work just like a pop rivet except they need a special rivet gun to set them. There are "MickeyMouse" work arounds to set them but the best way is with the proper tool.
The rivets from the dealer are VERY EXPENSIVE! The first time I paid almost 2 bucks apiece for Mopar part number 5-34201631.
I purchesd a couple of boxes (100 total) of a GM rivet that is close, 6.25mm X 28mm, from an eBay vendor. I also picked up a Marson rivet setter on eBay for about $15.
I have # for another setter but can't find it right now....

Thanks Guys. I just left the dealership and that is pretty much what they told me. I bought the push in fasteners (pn 6030441) for 2.42 a piece to hold the top part of the rear splash guard to the body. I had no idea that they would cost that much . The nut with u-sleeve were 2.83 for a set. They are sold as separate items. I will probably just ask someone at the service dept to put in the rivets next time I get some service done.

mine are coming loose too. I'm gonna go with the stainless steel bolt fix. What sixe bolts did you use cville6? do you remember ?
