What is your VIN? You can tell the engine from the VIN from http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/VIN_decode.htm

Pretty sure 24V injectors wont fit a 12V and vice versa.

Early 98's are 12 Valves, mid 98's and later are 24V.....check your valve cover. If it says 24V you've got a 24....if it just says Cummins, you got a 12V AND scored....if you happen to have a 12V, you will probably want some 370's...

Sure it's not one of those rare 18 valve engines. I heard 98 was the only year for them, good luck trying to find those injectors!!! ;D ;D, BTW, welcome to the properly valved side.
Just having fun, Kevin

Really? I better change mine!

You will love your 12V better and the 1998s are the best. You can also tell by the side mirrors if they are black or not. Black is 24V and crome is 12V stock.

Re:Do I have a 12v or a 24v??? PLEASE HELP

Mirrors are not an indication of what engine you have.

A better place to look is the badging on the door - 24V will say 24V Cummins Turbo Deisel and a 12 V will say Cummins Turbo Diesel. Another place to look is the valve cover - a 24V will say 24V Cummins and a 12V just says Cummins.

You have a short box dont you?? Do you know how rare your truck is?? The 12V sb's were made for only like 3 months....so there are not that many of them running around.
