What to do first??
What to do first??
Folks,I am ready to start wrenching and tuning here but would like to do things in a logical order.Seems like EGT gauge and better (bigger?) exhaust would come first but you tell me. Reliability is important.
I ran from Central Texas to north of the Arctic Circle and back with a cabover camper towing a boat.Got 16mpg and only broke the radio.Well the windshield too but that was the moose's fault not the truck. So I am really happy with the rig but think it could be made better.
5 speed 3.55 clubcab.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I think most of the guys will agree that the pyro and boost gauges are the priority before you try tuning too much. A fuel pressure and tranny temp are nice to have too.
Its hard to do too much BOMB'n safely until you can monitor whats going on inside your engine...

Go put an extra quart of lube in your trans. Do that now!
You have the 18.5 cm exhaust housing and most say that a 16 isn't enough of an upgrade to justify the cost, but I did notice the difference on mine. A 4" exhaust is nice but kinda spendy. Removing the muffler is cheap and easy and helps. Pour a quart of 2 stroke oil inyour tank at your next fuel up.
There are all kinds of adjustments to the pump, but I'm suggest start small. Reliability is my main focus also.
You may want to replace your ignition switch and headlight switch and do the headlight relay mod pretty soon.
And of course....gauges gauges gauges
